Forward Santi Mina and the left-footed wing-back David Juncà suffered injuries, the academy player in the ankle and the defender in the shoulder, in the match played yesterday in Melgaço against CD Tenerife.
Santi Mina suffers a grade II lateral sprain in his right ankle and the X-ray performed last night rules out the existence of fractures. The striker will be submitted to a magnetic resonance once the signs of acute inflammation of his ankle diminish and after this test the estimated time of recovery will be determined.
For his part, David Juncà underwent an MRI this morning that confirms that the wing-back suffered a subluxation in the right shoulder with ligamentous injury and bone contusion. Initially his shoulder has been immobilized and later he will begin the rehabilitation process without needing, initially, surgical treatment. The discharge time will be around 3-4 weeks.
The good news of the day is that striker Iago Aspas trained normally and was cleared by doctors.
