RC Celta drew 2-2 at Abanca Balaídos on Saturday against FC Barcelona in a thrilling match that the sky-blue team drew twice and could have taken the lead in injury time with a great chance by Nolito.
In the first half, Oscar Garcia’s team was a little uncomfortable in the opening stretch and Luis Suarez put the visitors ahead in a rehearsed move. From that moment on, RC Celta began to push forward and created several dangerous chances that failed to find the back of the net.
In the second half, Smolov levelled the tie after a great combination with Iago Aspas and Okay. Suarez put the Azulgranas back in front but Iago Aspas, with a brilliant free-kick, set up the equaliser near the end of the 90th minute. Once in injury time, Nolito had the comeback in his boots but Ter Stegen denied the chance.
