Rafinha Alcántara received this Wednesday in A Madroa the Estrella Galicia Player of the month award in February. The sky-blue midfielder received 45% of the votes cast by Celta fans through the club’s social networks, followed by Murillo with 30% of the votes and Iago Aspas with 25%.
The Brazilian, who received the award from Sara Fernández, owner of the Esquina bar, showed his gratitude on receiving his second Estrella Galicia award of the season. “Thank you very much to all the fans for voting for me for this award,” he said.
Looking ahead to the next LaLiga match against Villarreal where RC Celta wants to get the victory to go up in the standings, Rafinha highlighted the good form of the team. “The mentality of the latter is that every match is a final, and we have 11 matches left in which we have to get as many points as possible, and we want to continue with this positive dynamic,” he said. On playing behind closed doors, the midfielder spoke of “a strange feeling” and added that “every footballer likes to play in front of fans”.
