RC Celta strengthens its defense by incorporating Slovakian national player Robert Mazan, left back arriving from MSK Zilina to wear the sky-blue jersey until June 2022.
At the young age of 23 and with a promising future ahead, Mazan (Trencin, 1994) sums 131 matches in the First Division of Slovakia. The leftie defender, who also likes to go an the attack, has played in several of his countries teams like AS Trencin, FK Senica, Podbeskizie and MSK Zilina, current champion of the league.
With this last squad in the Fortuna Liga, Mazan has started in the 19 matches played so far in the 2017/18 season, being substituted only twice and accumulating 1.662 minutes of playing time. Having played in all the different categories of the national team since the under-15 age team, Mazan made his debut with the senior national team in October last year.
The player from Slovakia will join Celta teammates immediately, where he meets again with Stanislav Lobotka. Both players played together in AS Trencin and in different categories of the Slovakian national squads.
Mazan will be introduced to the media and fans on Monday 8th of January at midday with number 15 on his jersey.
