RC Celta captain Hugo Mallo has played 200 Primera Division games against RCD Espanyol this Wednesday. The academy player is the sixth club’s player with the most matches in the Spanish first division and only has legends ahead such as Gustavo Lopez (205), Pepe Villar (207), Juan Fernandez (220), Manolo Rodriguez (226) and Alexander Mostovoi (235).
In these 200 matches, Mallo has scored five goals and conceded seventeen assists in more than 17,000 minutes in the First Division. Among all the competitions, the sky-blue captain has worn the RC Celta jersey in 333 matches. His first-team debut came on 29 August 2009 in a clash against Numancia.
