Xisela Aranda, a board member of RC Celta, was one of the highlights of the first edition of PRO Women in Sports, held last Monday in Barcelona. During her speech, Xisela emphasized “the need for more opportunities in management and leadership roles” in sports, as well as advancing news that will soon become a reality: RC Celta will have a women’s football department.
The club’s board member explained that work is being done on all the details, including the team’s name and how it will communicate with fans. In short, a commitment to women’s football “not because we have to, but because we want to,” she highlighted.
PRO Women in Sports, organized by 2Playbook and CA Sports Marketing, is an event aimed at professionals in the sports industry, from clubs, competitions, sponsors, audiovisual partners, and athletes, to investors, to highlight the social and economic impact of women’s sports.
This meeting, which in its first edition gathered a hundred attendees, discussed the potential of sports played by women in terms of business and the keys to investment in clubs, competitions, and content to consolidate it as an entertainment product.
