RC Celta got a valuable draw in Cadiz (0-0) in a match in which Eduardo Coudet’s men dominated possession and reached the opponent’s area on numerous occasions.
The match started with both teams trying to play their soccer, RC Celta dominating the ball and Cádiz coming out on the counter. The first chance was for Cádiz, but Iván Villar saved a shot by Sobrino. Soon came the reaction of the sky-blue team through Nolito, who forced Ledesma to make a great intervention.
Iván Villar appeared again with a superb save on a shot by a player from Cadiz that ended up hitting the crossbar. The best chance for the visitors came after a combination between Nolito and Hugo Mallo, which the sky blue captain converted into a goal but was disallowed for a very close offside.
After the break, Brais Méndez had a good chance, but again found Ledesma under the posts. As the minutes went by, the sky blue and white dominance continued, reaching the rival area numerous times, but without luck in the final meters.
In the final stages, Hugo Mallo had a very clear opportunity but his header grazed the post and the scoreboard remained unchanged.
