A great RC Celta got an important victory this Sunday against Alavés (1-3) in a match that was sentenced in the first half and in which the sky-blue players showed their defensive solidarity and good play.
The beginning of the match had fouls, cards, offside and a goal by Nolito after a sensational collective play by the sky blue team, who stole the ball near the rival area through Denis Suarez for Aspas to assist Mina, the striker made a feint with his body and the Andalusian attacker passed Pacheco.
Eduardo Coudet’s team did not stop there, and continued to press in the opponent’s half to try to get closer to the goal. A new steal, this time by Tapia, led to a great pass from Nolito leaving Iago Aspas alone to beat Alaves’ goal again when only a quarter of an hour had passed.
And so it continued, RC Celta kept on going. Just five minutes later a counter launched by Brais Méndez allowed Iago Aspas to assist Santi Mina with everything in favor to score the third Celta goal in the 20th minute.
In the second half, Alavés tried to approach the goal defended by Iván Villar, who was very safe throughout the game. The match was complicated in the 55th minute when Jeison Murillo received his second yellow card and left the team with 10 men.
The team suffered a little, but the solidarity of the players appeared, who multiplied in defensive tasks, and Iván Villar, with saves of great merit. However, Alavés reduced distances in the final stretch with a goal from a set piece.
