RC Celta fell in their visit to Valladolid (2-1) in a match in which the home team was more effective than the sky-blue squad. Miguel Cardoso’s side got ahead on the scoreboard with a goal from Pione Sisto but could not hold on to the lead.
RC Celta took possession of the ball from the first whistle and played the ball fluidly in search of the goal. Maxi Gomez first warned with a free-kick that came close to the corner of the net, but it was Pione Sisto with a sensational left-footed shot that put the sky-blue ahead when the first quarter of an hour was over. After the goal, both teams enjoyed several dangerous runs during the first half.
The second half started with Valladolid capsized over the area of Ruben, who had to work hard on a shot by Oscar Plano. The local striker did manage to draw the match 10 minutes after half-time. The home side turned the score around in the 68th minute with a shot from Keko. RC Celta tried to level the match in the final stretch but without fortune.
