RC Celta played a very good match against CD Leganés, especially in the second half making excellent plays and showing great exquisiteness with the ball. However, the sky-blues only managed to score from the penalty spot. A clear foul on Jonny in the opposing team’s penalty area was signaled by the referee. This penalty-kick was decisive in the end, giving the victory to the Vigo team. Iago Aspas took the penalty and, for the eleventh consecutive time in First Division, did not miss.
Celta took control of the tempo in the second part and played outstandingly, with plenty of chances to finish off the clash. But the goals did not come and a tough and relentless Leganes fought hard looking to draw the match until the very end. And it almost got it.
