RC Celta has secured its first signing of the winter transfer window, which starts on January 2nd. Brazilian central midfielder Jailson Marques Siqueira (born in Caçapava do Sul, September 7, 1995) joins the Celeste team with a contract until June 30, 2025, plus an optional additional season. Jailson is a versatile midfielder, aggressive off the ball, with great intuition for interceptions and skilled ball handling.
He comes from the Brazilian League champions, Palmeiras, with whom he played 28 matches this season. He also has experience in Europe, having played for two seasons with Fenerbahce in Turkey. The central midfielder arrives at RC Celta with an impressive track record, having won two league titles, the Copa do Brasil, the Copa Libertadores, twice the Recopa Sudamericana, the Gaúcho and Paulista championships twice each, and the Brazilian Super Cup.
Jailson, who arrives as a free agent, began his career at Gremio de Portoalegre, from where he was transferred to Fenerbahce. From the Turkish team, he moved to the Chinese League with Dalian before returning to Brazil to join Palmeiras, where he played the last two seasons.
With the arrival of the Brazilian, RC Celta strengthens its midfield with a player who has extensive experience, great physical deployment, and good ball handling skills.
